sfpd_gunpoint.jpgA man robbed a store on San Francisco’s Polk Street at gunpoint on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The robbery was reported at about 2:20 p.m. in the 700 block of Polk Street, between Eddy and Ellis streets.

A man believed to be in his mid-40s entered the store and pulled a handgun out of a bag, then demanded money from an employee, according to police.

The employee complied, handing over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect, who fled and has not been found, police said.

No one was injured during the robbery.
