shooting_nighttime.jpgA 21-year-old man was shot while sitting in a car near San Francisco’s Duboce Park on Friday afternoon, police said.

As previously reported, police were called to the scene of the shooting at 3:09 p.m in the first block of Potomac Street, which is near Duboce Park.

According to Haighteration, “witnesses reported several shots being fired,” as a man ran up to the parked car and began shooting.

The shooter, a man around 20 years old, then ran back to a waiting black four-door vehicle and drove away, police said.

He had not been found as of this morning.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he underwent surgery Friday afternoon, police said. He is expected to recover.
