The robbery was reported at about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 5600 block of Mission Street, which is near Naglee Ave.

The victim had gotten off of a San Francisco Municipal Railway vehicle nearby when five suspects approached and surrounded her, and began to taunt her, according to police.

Before fleeing, they took her shoes and reached into her pockets and took her money, police said.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for head pain, but is expected to survive.

No arrests have been made in the case. Anyone with information about the robbery is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
