San Francisco police are investigating a hit-and-run collision that seriously injured a bicyclist early Sunday morning.

The bicyclist was struck shortly after midnight near the corner of Ocean and Geneva avenues near City College of San Francisco, San Francisco police officer Albie Esparza said.

Witnesses said the vehicle involved in the collision fled the scene.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital.

Further information regarding the investigation was not immediately available.
