A Daly City man reported missing Thursday was found dead Friday in Lake Merced in San Francisco, police said today.
Jaeson Chon, 66, was reported missing from his home in the Westlake area of Daly City Thursday morning after walking away around 2 a.m., according to police.
He was found in the water and non-responsive Friday around 2 p.m., Sgt. Michael P. Barton said today. The San Francisco Medical Examiner confirmed his identity this morning.
Chon was not being treated for any medical conditions but had had medical issues in the past, police said. He could not speak or write because of past medical issues and had no identification or cell phone when he went missing.
San Francisco police are investigating the death, Barton said. Calls to San Francisco police on the status of the investigation have not yet been returned.
