sf.symphony.jpgElementary school students will be singing “Happy Birthday” today to the San Francisco Symphony, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a series of free concerts over the next week.

More than 2,000 children are expected to attend two separate concerts at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. today at Davies Symphony Hall, where they will sing “Happy Birthday.”

The San Francisco Symphony is playing eight free shows leading up to its centennial on Dec. 8, including the annual Deck the Hall Community Concert on Monday.

For that concert, children served by local charities will be invited to the symphony hall, which will be decked out in holiday decorations, including 20 Christmas trees.

More information about the symphony’s holiday schedule is available at www.sfsymphony.org.
