Trains were being held at that station after a train operator reported seeing a person possibly armed with a shotgun on the trackway shortly before noon, agency spokesman Jim Allison said.

BART police responded to the station and searched the area but did not find anyone matching the description, Allison said.

As of 12:20 p.m., service resumed through the station, he said.
