occupysf_dwntwnsf.jpgOccupy SF protesters are meeting this evening to decide if they will move from Justin Herman Plaza to a location in San Francisco’s Mission District.

City officials offered the alternate location near Mission and 16th streets at around 4 p.m. this afternoon, according to one protester named Ryan.

According to a press release sent by Occupy SF at at 6:40 PM:

3pm today OccupySF received the city’s offer to occupy a space at 1950 Mission St. This Facility License Agreement is being reviewed by OccupySF lawyers, and the OccupySF General Assembly will begin consideration of the offer this evening.

Ryan said some demonstrators view the offer as an ultimatum. “It’s pretty much take it or get out,” he said.

The meeting was still underway as of 6:30 p.m. but Ryan said, “I don’t think people will ever give up Justin Herman Plaza.”

He did, however, suggest that the movement could occupy both sites.
