A motorcyclist killed in a crash on northbound U.S. Highway 101 in San Francisco on Tuesday afternoon has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as 48-year-old John Jolivette.

Jolivette, a San Francisco resident, was killed when his motorcycle rear-ended a vehicle as he rode north on Highway 101 just north of the Vermont Street off-ramp around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Further information about the collision was not immediately available from the CHP.
