policeblotter_sfa.jpgA man was robbed while holding his daughter in his arms in San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood on Saturday night, police said.

The robbery was reported at 9:52 p.m. Saturday in the first block of 30th Street.

The victim was standing on the sidewalk when the suspect approached from behind, reached into his back pants pocket and took out cash, according to police.

The victim could not stop the theft because he was holding his daughter, police said. Neither the man nor his daughter was hurt in the robbery.

The suspect fled and had not been found as of Sunday.

Anyone with information about the robbery is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
