wave.jpg11:45 AM: Crews are cleaning up about two gallons of diesel fuel that was spilled by a fishing vessel near San Francisco’s Pier 45 this morning, a U.S. Coast Guard spokeswoman said.

Cost Guard Lt. j.g. Heather Lampert said the fuel was spilled by a crabbing boat named the “King Crab.”

The spill was reported at 9:11 a.m., a fire department dispatcher said.

Lampert said some absorbent pads have been placed in the water.
