A multi-vehicle crash is blocking several lanes of southbound U.S. Highway 101 in San Mateo this afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred on Highway 101 just north of the Third Avenue exit at about 2 p.m., Officer Eric Anderson said.
A Sig-alert was issued at 2:29 p.m. because the damaged vehicles were blocking three lanes of traffic. Anderson said the advisory was expected to remain in effect until 3:15 p.m.
