policeblotter_sfa.jpgAccording to KTVU broadcast, SFPD has discovered a body on Geary Boulevard between Gough and FranklinSt. Mary’s Cathedral, which is located in that area.

Police responded to the area at 7:40, after a passer-by reported seeing a body. According to KTVU broadcast, police say they have recovered a gun from the scene, and say that the deceased person did not appear to be homeless.

According to Bay City News, an employee at a nearby business who did not want to be identified said she saw a body with a tarp over it, as well as several police and coroner’s officials at the scene.

According to police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza, it appears the case is a suicide, but police are waiting for an official confirmation from the medical examiner’s office.
