sfstate.jpgSF State students and those frequenting the campus, be warned: a suspect is on the loose after sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman inside a dorm room on campus.

As the Golden Gate Express reports, the victim, who was not a student at State, was assaulted in a room in the Towers at Centennial Square dorm as she was on her way to a party at around 8pm Friday.

She was waiting for friends in the lobby of the Towers as they attempted to locate the party when an unknown man approached her and said he knew “where she was going and that she could come with him.”

Believing him, she entered an elevator with the suspect, as she saw her friends exiting an elevator on the opposite side. When she attempted to join them, she says the suspect grabbed her from behind and refused to let her leave. Instead, he took took her to a room and sexually assaulted her, after which she fled.

Those with any information on the suspect, who may or may not be an SF State student and who is described as 5’8″, between the ages of 18 and 22, with short hair, weighing 180 lbs. and of mixed race are encouraged to contact Inspector Abe Leal of the SF State police at (415) 338-7200 or (415) 338-2222.
