sfpd_squad.jpgA man was stabbed in the back in San Francisco’s Inner Richmond neighborhood on Thursday afternoon, police said.

The stabbing was reported at about 4 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of Fourth Avenue.

The 27-year-old victim was standing next to his vehicle when a suspect approached him from behind, stabbed him twice with an unknown weapon, then ran away, according to police.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.

The suspect, a man in his early 20s, had not been found as of this morning.
