sfpd_crimescene.jpgA man was stabbed multiple times in an altercation that started in a nightclub in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood and spilled out into the street early Saturday, police said.

The stabbing was reported at about 1:50 a.m. in the 600 block of Howard Street.

The 25-year-old victim was knifed during a fight with five or six men in their late teens or early 20s, according to police.

The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.

The suspects fled and had not been found as of today. Anyone with information about the stabbing is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
