policeblotter_sfa.jpgA man trying to sell his cellphone via Craigslist was robbed and briefly kidnapped when he went to meet the purported buyers near San Francisco State University on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The robbery was reported at 4:28 p.m. Wednesday and occurred at the intersection of 19th and Holloway avenues, where the victim went to meet someone who claimed an interest in purchasing his HTC EVO cellphone, according to police.

But when the 22-year-old victim arrived, a suspect got out of a black SUV with a gun in his hand and ordered the victim into his vehicle, police said.

Inside the vehicle, four suspects took the man’s eyewear and wallet and drove him across town before dropping him off and fleeing, according to police.

The suspects, three men and a woman, all in their 20s or 30s, had not been found as of today.

The victim suffered a small laceration on his face during the robbery but refused medical treatment, police said.

Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
