A man who was shot and killed in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Saturday night has been identified as 21-year-old Nick Frantin, according to the medical examiner’s office.

The San Francisco resident had been shot several times somewhere in the 1400 block of Thomas Avenue when he entered a liquor store near Keith Street at about 10 p.m., Sgt. Michael Andraychak said.

Frantin was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries just before 11:30 p.m., Andraychak said.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, which remains under investigation.

Officers responded to a shooting in the 1400 block of Thomas Avenue shortly after 10 p.m. that night.

When police arrived, the victim walked into a store near the corner of Thomas Avenue and Keith Street, police said. The victim, a 22-year-old man from San Francisco, had been shot multiple times and was taken to a local hospital by ambulance.

He died at the hospital shortly before 11:30 p.m., police said. No arrests have been made and the shooting is under investigation by San Francisco police’s homicide department.
