sfpd_arrestcuffs.jpgA teen briefly escaped from San Francisco’s juvenile detention facility before being found at a nearby Muni station on Sunday evening, police said today.

The 17-year-old boy escaped from the Youth Guidance Center at 375 Woodside Ave. at about 5:10 p.m. Sunday.

Officers responded and found the teen nearby boarding a bus at Muni’s Forest Hill station on Laguna Honda Boulevard, according to police.

He was taken into custody and returned to his probation officer at the center, police said.

No information was immediately available about how the teen escaped.
