bart_generic.jpgA person was stabbed at a San Francisco BART station this morning, a San Francisco fire official said.

Around 6:11 a.m. a stabbing was reported at the Balboa Park BART station near Geneva Avenue, officials said.

A BART official said the stabbing occurred at the concourse level where riders buy tickets. Speaking with KTVU broadcast, BART spokesperson said that the victim, a man, was rushed to SF General hospital.

The victim was taken to the hospital, the fire department said.
