A teen was stabbed several times during an argument over a cigarette at San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf on Friday night, police said.
The stabbing was reported around 11 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of Jefferson Street.
It occurred in front of the In-N-Out Burger at 333 Jefferson St., which was still cordoned off by police the next morning, a person in the area said.
The 19-year-old victim was approached by three men and a woman who asked him for the cigarette, according to police.
An argument ensued and turned physical, and the victim was stabbed several times in the stomach, hip, thigh and forearm, police said.
He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital and is expected to survive.
The suspects, all believed to be around 20 years old, fled and had not been found as of this morning, according to police.
