shooting_nighttime.jpgA man was shot twice in the calf after getting into a friend’s car in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood early this morning, police said.

The shooting was reported at 1:51 a.m. in the 1500 block of Folsom Street.

The 20-year-old victim got into the vehicle, heard gunshots, and felt two bullets hit his right calf, according to police.

The victim was driven to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening.

No information was immediately available about the shooter, police said.
