5:47 PM: Hundreds of PG&E customers in San Francisco’s Bayview District have had their power restored this evening after an outage left 240 customers in the dark, a utility spokesman said.

The outage began shortly before 4 p.m. in the area near Jerrold Avenue and Toland Street, spokesman Joe Molica said.

As of 5:10 p.m. the number of customers affected by the outage was down to 38, Molica said.

There was no estimated time for when power would be restored to those customers.

Crews were investigating the cause of the outage and it appears to be equipment failure, Molica said.

4:55 PM: More than two hundred homes and businesses in San Francisco’s Bayview District are without power because of an outage that began this afternoon, a PG&E spokesman said.

The outage that began shortly before 4 p.m. is affecting about 240 customers, spokesman Joe Molica said.

There was no estimated time for when power would be restored.

Crews were on site investigating the cause of the outage, Molica said.
