BikeLane.jpgBecause even those who missed out on Burning Man have a sense of humor, SF Bike Party is embracing the absence of what they say are 50,000 Burners from the city tonight, and is throwing a Ghost Town-themed ride through our desolate archipelago, with three legs to the route and two party stops.

The total ride (here’s the route) through “some of SF’s most swanky, hip, and scenic hoods” is only 10.3 miles and far less dusty or treacherous than a jaunt through the desert. Costumes, they say, are encouraged.

What: SF Bike Party’s September Ghost Town Ride
When: Friday, September 2nd: gather at 7:30pm and start biking at 8pm
Where: The ride will start at the Civic Center Quad on Larkin and Grove (full route here)
Cost: unlike Burning Man, absolutely free
