books.jpgBelieve it or not, SF’s Public Libraries have a playful, slightly alcoholic side. Proving that point are their IMBIBE cocktail parties, the next one being held tonight, Friday, September 30th at the Richmond Branch Library.

Friends of the SFPL members can bring themselves and one guest to the transportation-themed event. In addition to being able to talk as loudly as you want in the library, a hosted bar and snacks will be provided by Anchor Brewing and Anchor Distilling.

Other perks include a photo booth, book sales, and IMBIBE’s first ever live band performance, featuring the Talking Heads tribute band, Little Creatures. To RSVP, email Imbibe@friendssfpl.org.

Not a member of the Friends but interested in becoming one? Visit the Friends of SFPL’s membership site or call (415) 626-7500.

Membership starts at just $35 and guarantees you access to the last two IMBIBE parties of the year as well as all of 2012’s events.
