A 16-year-old San Francisco boy was shot Saturday in the city’s South of Market neighborhood, police said.
The shooting was reported near Heron and Eighth streets at about 10 p.m., San Francisco police Sgt. Mike Andraychak said.
The teenager suffered one gunshot wound and was taken to hospital to be treated, said Andraychak. The injury was not expected to be life threatening.
A 20-year-old man was taken into custody in connection with the shooting.
It has not been determined if the shooting was gang related.
