Treasure Island Triathlon
The Treasure Island Triathlon will be held this Saturday and Sunday.
The following closures will be required on Treasure Island streets from 10 a.m., Friday to 5 a.m., Monday:
· Avenue M
· California Avenue
· Avenue H
· 9th Street
· 13th Avenue
Muni bus route 108 Treasure Island will be affected.
Avon Walk
The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer will take place this weekend beginning at 6:30 a.m., Saturday from Fort Mason and at 7:30 a.m., Sunday from the New Wellness Village at Corte Madera Town Park.
On Saturday, after the opening ceremony at Fort Mason, the route will take participants from along the waterfront and past Justin Herman Plaza at The Embarcadero; Washington Square Park on Columbus Avenue; Lafayette Park on Gough Street; Little Marina Green on Marina Boulevard; and then cross the Golden Gate Bridge to Marin.
On Sunday, between 7 and 7:30 a.m., participants will leave New Wellness Village at Corte Madera Town Park, cross the Golden Gate Bridge, and continue along Marina Boulevard to Fort Mason.
No street closures will be required. Traffic will be controlled by SFPD.
Sunday Streets
The fifth of nine Sunday Streets events will be held this Sunday in Golden Gate Park and along Great Highway. This event covers a route between JFK Drive at Transverse Drive and Great Highway at Sloat Boulevard. The route will be available for recreational activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free to all participants.
The headquarters for the event will be located at Lincoln Way and Great Highway, where participants can get details about activities along the event route as well as free bike rentals.
The following street closures will be required from 10:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Lincoln Way (westbound only) between MLK Drive and Upper Great Highway
Lincoln Way (eastbound only) between Upper Great Highway and Lower Great Highway
Great Highway between Lincoln Way and the south exit/Ocean Beach parking lot
Great Highway between Fulton and the south exit Ocean Beach parking lot
Upper Great Highway (both directions)
No through traffic at Fulton and 36th and 30th avenues and Transverse
Golf course access only at Fulton and 47th Avenue
The following Muni lines and routes will be affected:

· L Taraval
· 5 Fulton
· 18 46th Avenue
· 21 Hayes
· 23 Monterey
· 28 19th Avenue
· 29 Sunset
· 33 Stanyan
· 44 O’Shaughnessy
· 71 Haight-Noriega
While traffic in the area may cause delays, the following Muni routes and lines will provide convenient access to Sunday Streets fun:

· 18 46th Avenue
· 23 Monterey
· 71 Haight-Noriega
