bartpolice_generic.jpgWhether you’re an activist or someone who just wants to get home on Monday, be advised: In the wake of the fatal July 3rd shooting of 45-year-old Charles Hill at BART’s SF Civic Center Station, activist group group No Justice, No BART tells the SFBG they’re planning a demonstration at the station this Monday, July 11 from 4:30pm to 7pm.

An organizer told the Guardian “”We’re expecting 100 people at minimum, and probably a lot more…We anticipate that BART service will be disrupted, potentially significantly.”

Join us to THIS MONDAY. ON THE CIVIC CENTER PLATFORM (yes, in the BART!). We will participate in a collective act of civil disobedience to demand:

1. The BART Board of Directors must shut down the corrupt, inept, disgraceful, and murderous BART police department, PERMANENTLY AND TOTALLY.

2. Both officers must be fired, and we demand an independent, PUBLIC investigation of this killing, and all applicable charges filed and prosecuted against the killers.
