construction.JPGAs previously reported, last Saturday a man suffered third-degree burns from a live wire in SoMa. The man had cut into the live wire while working underground on the 100 block of Fremont St. at about 12:30pm. Though he suffered third-degree burns to his face and hands it has been reported that the man will be okay.

As CBS5 reports, the live wire apparently came from work being done on the Transbay Terminal and was accidentally cut by the man as he was relocating utilities. The man, a construction worker, is expected to recover fully.

Work in that location has been halted to determine what caused the incident, and the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health will be investigating it. Construction for the rest of the project will continue and shouldn’t have any scheduling impact on the overall project.
