Baby-Giant-Anteater.jpgAhh, the first week of the month. Not only is it a fresh start in case you screwed things up last month (rent, work, relationship, what-have-you), but it also marks the Free Firsts. Every day seems to get you in to all your favorite public spots for free: art, live music, parks… the city is yours for the taking this week! Here’s what you can do for free today, and here’s a couple of Wednesday’s offerings:

  • The SF Zoo, Northern California’s largest zoological park and conservation center, offers free admission the first Wednesday every month. Go check out the 250 different species of animals, park events, and activities.
    Hours: 10am-5pm
Location: 1 Zoo Road San Francisco
  • The Exploratorium, housed within the walls of San Francisco’s Palace of Fine Arts, features hundreds of science, art, and human perception exhibits.
    Hours: 10am-5pm
    Location: 3601 Lyon Street
