sfpd_squad.jpgSeveral expensive items were taken in a home burglary in San Francisco on Saturday afternoon, police said.

The burglary was reported at about 12:15 p.m. at a home in the 900 block of Ellsworth Street.

The victim tried to enter his home but felt resistance to the door, as if someone behind it were holding it shut, according to police.

The man then heard footsteps running down stairs in his home, and when he was finally able to open the door, he saw two people running out the back door, police said.

The suspects had not been found as of this morning, according to police.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
