From YACHT‘s latest album comes an ultra-dance-adventure double-video. The tracks “Utopia” and “Dystopia (The Earth Is On Fire)” get painted together in this beautiful exploration of pop and post-modernism. The songs are the first two on Shangri-La, which was released on iTunes last week but is available everywhere now.

If you’re strange enough to like rap and classical music, you’re odd enough to love Chilly Gonzales. One of the highlight tracks off his latest album, “Party In My Mind”, now has some visuals to go with the zany song. Orchestral parts, middle-eastern percussion patterns, lyrics about eating take out food in slippers. If this intrigues you, The Unspeakable Chilly Gonzales, released June 7, is the first ever orchestral-rap album.

Taking another swing at ‘basic bitches’ after her track “Gucci Gucci”, Kreayshawn offers a new one called “Rich Whores”, which is available for download over her website. Oakland’s prettiest rapper also announced some tour dates, and she’ll be at Slim’s on August 25.

Heard it Through the Grapevine:

Motion City Soundtrack fan? This is for you. Next year they’ll be releasing their fifth album, but before that they’ll be taking their other four releases on the road. The crew will be in San Francisco August 24 and 25 at the Fillmore, playing seven years of work over two nights. Tickets are on sale now for $29.50, and album number five is scheduled for release in spring.

After winning all types of awards, The Suburbs by Arcade Fire is now a short movie, courtesy of Spike Jonze. The half hour film gives visuals to the album, which was dark take on the suburbs of Texas where singer Win Butler grew up. You can watch the film, which of course features the band’s music, over on Mubi. [Spin]

Kreayshawn. Before she was a cute little rapper she was a film-student. And now she’s directing a video for the Red Hot Chili Peppers reports Pitchfork. The song, called “The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie”, will be their first single off their August 30 album I’m With You. I was very confused at first, but after thinking about it, their quirky styles aren’t too different.
