policeblotter_sfa.jpgA man was stabbed and robbed of his cellphone in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood early this morning, police said.

The attack was reported shortly after 1:50 a.m. near the intersection of Hyde Street and Golden Gate Avenue.

The 31-year-old victim was approached by the suspect, who stabbed him and stole his phone, according to police.

The suspect, described only as a white man in his 30s, fled and had not been found as of this morning, police spokesman Lt. Troy Dangerfield said.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening.
