sffd_officials.jpgFifteen people were displaced by a two-alarm fire near San Francisco’s Civic Center Thursday night, a fire dispatcher said.

The blaze was reported at an apartment building at 146 McAllister St. at 10:37 p.m., with a second alarm sounding at 10:49 p.m.

Firefighters contained the blaze to a fourth-floor apartment and hallway and the fire was under control by 11:11 p.m., the dispatcher said.

No injuries were reported and the American Red Cross was contacted to assist residents with temporary housing.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
