BikeLane.jpgA bicyclist who was injured last week when he crashed into a center median on a street in San Francisco’s Forest Hill neighborhood has died, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Gregory Weiss, 38, was hurt in a crash that was reported at about 12:15 a.m. on June 6 near the intersection of Pacheco Street and Dewey Boulevard.

Weiss, a San Francisco resident, succumbed to his injuries on Thursday at a hospital, according to the medical examiner’s office.

At the time of the crash, he was riding his bike south on Pacheco Street approaching Dewey Boulevard, police said.

Police do not know what caused Weiss to strike the median. A website set up in his memory states that he “collapsed” while biking home.

A memorial service will be held for Weiss on Sunday.
