tylerflorence.jpgAs fellow SFians, I’m sure many of you are, like me, foodies. I’ve had a passion for cooking and baking for years, and even dabbled in farming for a while, so I’m well versed in the (now very trendy) farm-to-table movement.

Back when I owned a TV and had nothing but time on my hands, I would watch the Food Network for hours learning cooking techniques, scour FoodGawker for food porn, and search website after website collecting recipes to test out on enthusiastic, and drooling, friends and family.

This Wednesday, celebrity chef Tyler Florence will be showing you how to whip up some fresh and wholesome dishes at the Union Square Macy’s. He will be featuring recipes from his latest cookbooks, including his “One Pan Lasagna” and “Peach Rice Pudding.” Yumm.

After the class, Tyler will be available to sign books, preferably, one might presume, his own.

When: Wednesday, June 29, 6pm – 7pm
Where: Macy’s Cellar (Union Square)- 170 O’Farrell Street
Cost: Free, but reservations are suggested as seating is limited.
To RSVP call: 1-800-786-2665.
