booze.jpgAfter three years and three violations, the Mission District’s “Bob’s Liquor and Grocery” has officially had its alcohol license revoked. The store, located at 2999 Harrison Street, had repeatedly sold alcohol to minors, according to the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.

The site of a 2009 shooting in which at least one minor was injured, the Better Business Bureau “F” rated store “sold alcohol to minors three times within a three-year period, and that’s obviously a violation of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act,” said John Carr of the ABC told KCBS.

Carr told KCBS that the ABC had spent the last three years going through the process to revoke the liquor license, but the store’s owner, who has refused to comment to media, “fought back in every way possible.”

Yelp user Greg H. responded swiftly to the news, saying “No more booze!!!! They got caught selling to minors & lost their liquor license, FOR GOOD!!!! What’s a liquor store with no liquor?!?!?!”
