pg&e_blackout(2).jpgSome 2,400 PG&E customers in San Francisco’s South of Market and Mission neighborhoods are without service because of an outage that began this afternoon, a utility spokesman said.

The outage began at about 4:10 p.m. Although crews were working on scene to restore power, PG&E spokesman Joe Molica said at 5 p.m. that there was still no indication of what spurred the outage.

Molica said that the crews were working “as quickly and safely as they can” to restore service. There was no estimated time of restoration.
