A woman was surprised when she moved into her new home in San Francisco’s Noe Valley neighborhood and found a grenade in a bedroom cabinet on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The discovery was reported shortly before 3:30 p.m. in the first block of Fountain Street.
The 39-year-old woman found the grenade while cleaning the residence, and called 911, police said. The Police Department’s bomb squad responded and secured the device.
No one was injured.
