Some showers and gray skies are expected in the Bay Area today as a weak storm system makes its way through the region, a National Weather Service forecaster said.
San Francisco and the North Bay are likely to see the most rain, with a 50 to 60 percent chance of showers, forecaster Diana Henderson said.
Only about half an inch of rain is expected today in most parts of the Bay Area, she said.
Winds are not expected to exceed about 20 mph today, and will decrease to about 5 to 10 mph on Thursday, Henderson said.
Temperatures will be in the 60s for most of the region today, or in the upper 50s for some outlying areas, she said.
“Dress in layers,” Henderson said.
The system should be past the Bay Area by tonight, Henderson said.
Thursday morning, skies are expected to be mostly cloudy, with a slight chance of showers.
“By Friday, we should be good,” Henderson said.
The weekend could bring scattered light showers, she said.
