sffd_fire.jpg10:26 AM: A fire that injured two people in San Francisco’s Bayview District early this morning is being considered accidental, a fire department spokeswoman said.

The one-alarm fire was reported at about 2 a.m. at a two-story home in the 1000 block of Hollister Avenue.

Firefighters arrived and extinguished the blaze by 2:20 a.m., a fire dispatcher said.

Two people were taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation, fire department spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said. She did not know the extent of the victims’ injuries.

The fire started on the lower level of the two-story home, and although the exact cause has not been determined, it is not considered suspicious, Talmadge said.

An estimate of the damage caused by the blaze was not immediately available, she said.
