sfpd_arrestcuffs.jpgIf you ever want to successfully flee the scene of any crime and do it in an eco-friendly fashion, walking or biking might be better, as a 20-year-old Muni rider found out Wednesday night. Riding the same bus line he’d allegedly earlier terrorized earlier that evening, a man suspected of threatening at least one of his fellow riders was nabbed by SFPD, giving possible truth to the aphorism that criminals return to the scenes of their crimes.

According to Mission Local, Wednesday afternoon the suspect and his alleged victim were riding the outbound 14-Mission. A man told the suspect, who was yelling at the driver, to calm down — in response, the suspect “identified himself as a member of the SureƱo gang and pulled out a knife.”

The victim decided his ride was over at that point, exiting around 20th St. and calling the police. The suspect only briefly followed and had fled by the time police arrived.

As the victim finished his account of the suspect’s aggression, he looked to the street only to see a 14-Mission rolling by with his favorite transit terrorizer riding.

Needless to say, the suspect’s ride came to a halt and he has been arrested.
