sfo03.jpgMemorial Day weekend is almost upon us, which means the kickoff of summer air travel season. As CBS5 reports, SFO is expected to have a busy season thanks to an improving economy and the unveiling of more international flights.

International travel is up 7%, so Air France’s new ten weekly flights to Paris reportedly are a welcome addition to Lufthansa’s regular service to Frankfurt. Both airlines will be using Airbus A380 super jumbo jets; planes that are capable of transporting 538 people.

All other passenger traffic is up by almost 3%, although domestic travel has yet to reach pre-recession levels.
