San Francisco police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run earlier this month that left a bicyclist seriously injured.
The suspect vehicle, a gray Nissan, was traveling north on Fillmore Street at about 8:10 p.m. on May 11 when its driver pulled into the southbound lane of traffic and made an abrupt turn onto Turk Street, police said.
The turn caused a bicyclist to collide with the Nissan, but the driver continued west on Turk Street without stopping.
The collision, which caused serious injuries to the bicyclist, was partially captured by surveillance cameras at the Police Department’s Northern Station, police said.
The Nissan was described as a gray mid-1990s four-door model, possibly a Maxima, with damage to the passenger side.
A Nissan mirror housing cover was left behind at the scene.
Anyone with information about the car or the collision is asked to call the Police Department’s hit-and-run investigators at (415) 553-1641 or leave an anonymous tip at (415) 575-4444.
