shooting_nighttime.jpgA man shot in the neck in San Francisco’s Bayview District was hospitalized early this morning, police said.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of Third Street and Palou Avenue at about 12:30 a.m., police said.

The victim was sitting in his car when three suspects approached the vehicle, police said.

One of the suspects showed the man a gun and demanded his laptop, which was inside the car, according to police.

The suspect and the man started to fight before he was shot in the neck during the struggle, police said.

All three suspects ran away, police said.

The man was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life threatening injuries, according to police.

Police have not provided any descriptions of the suspects.
