sfpd_gunpoint.jpgA man was injured in a shooting in San Francisco’s Visitacion Valley neighborhood late Monday night, police said.

The shooting was reported shortly before 11:25 p.m. near the intersection of Bayshore Boulevard and Arleta Avenue.

The 21-year-old victim was struck several times by gunfire. The shooter then fled in a brown Chevy SUV, according to police.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

The shooter remains at large, police said.
