A man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was struck in the head with a baseball bat during an argument that turned physical in San Francisco’s Outer Richmond neighborhood on Saturday night, police said.
The attack was reported at about 10 p.m. in the 800 block of 47th Avenue.
The 47-year-old victim got into an argument with a male suspect who struck him in the head with the bat, according to police.
The victim stabbed the suspect in the stomach, and the suspect fled the scene. He was taken into custody shortly afterward, police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are considered life-threatening. The suspect was also hospitalized, but is expected to survive, according to police.
Police were not immediately releasing details about what prompted the argument.
