Police have arrested a man and are seeking at least one other gunman in connection with a shooting that killed two men and injured another in San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood on Saturday evening.

Pacific Som, 21, and Rathanak Chea, 26, were killed in a shooting reported at about 7:20 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Appleton Avenue.

After the shooting, Som and Chea, both San Francisco residents, were taken to a hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.

A 30-year-old man was also injured in the shooting but is expected to survive, police said.

Several people were detained following the shooting and one, Keo Sobera, 24, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of shooting Som, police Officer Albie Esparza said.

Sobera, a San Francisco resident, was arrested at the San Francisco Hall of Justice following questioning by investigators, Esparza said.

Police are still seeking at least one other suspect wanted in connection with the shooting, but no other information about the suspect was immediately available this afternoon, Esparza said.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
