margarita.jpgThe California Academy of Sciences is a great San Francisco tourist destination. Located in scenic Golden Gate Park, across from the Fine Arts Museum and Japanese Tea Garden, it’s the perfect place to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon, take the kids, or show your parents some PG fun when they visit you.

But NightLife brings some adult ambience to the usually family-friendly destination. Enjoy the exhibits, the aquarium, or the planetarium while sipping a cocktail and hearing some great music. Leave the screaming babies, the strollers, and the fanny-pack clad tourists behind while you mingle with the of-age San Francisco population. It’s a great place for a first date or to experience a cultured, yet still raucous, evening with friends.

This week, NightLife is going Latin. Show off your dance moves or learn some new ones from the experts teaching free dance lessons. Enjoy spicy Latin cuisine and margaritas, tequila specials, and cerveza at the bars studded throughout the museum. The experts at Tommy, San Francisco’s infamous tequila spot, will be present to show the tequila-ignorant a thing or two about the drink.

Music by DJ Santero and DJ Miles, and DJ Frisko Eddy of La Kalle radio.
