sfpd_squad.jpgA woman was hospitalized after being stabbed during a fight in an alley in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood Sunday morning, police said.

The stabbing was reported at about 6 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Geary and Shannon streets.

The 42-year-old victim got into a fight with another woman in an alley, and the other woman took out a knife and stabbed her in the left side of the chest, police said.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening, according to police.

The suspect, described only as a black woman between 40 and 45 years old, left the area before police arrived and hasn’t been arrested, police said.
